Círculo Mexicano, a Member of Design Hotels

Beautiful design (rooms and rooftop). The craftsmanship was quality not cheap. The rooms had high ceilings, quality custom lines, soundproof windows, good AC, a safe, fridge, mini bar and a nice deep closest. Cleaning was daily with fresh towels. Lots of lights, a nice TV, we slept like babies. The rooftop was smartly designed as a multi use area. It had a pool, bar, sauna, hot tub, fir pit, restaurant and bathrooms. The views of the church and square were wonderful. The daily breakfast was a highlight. A great multi course breakfast with bottomless coffee and many menu items to choose from. The wait staff were very attentive. The hotel has many shops and is close to all activities that leave from central area.

Breakfast was pretty bad. Very small dining room and we had to wait for a table. Eventually we got one and only 1 lady was in charge of serving everybody. So the toasts can as deserts since I was long finished with my eggs. Very bad organisation. The next days, we had breakfast elsewhere even though breakfast was prepaid.

We splurged on the top suite and it was so worth it. Beautifully done, huge bathroom, high arched ceilings, I think the room divider between your sleep and living space is made up of the original stonework from this old building. All the charm you could ask for. I saw ppl in the comments complaining about the bathroom lighting but the room is beautifully lit for ambience and not big florescent lighting, which I appreciated. My husband read aloud short stories from a local writers collection while I took a bath, perfection. Your balcony opens up directly onto the cathedral, and it’s an oasis of crispy white minimalist calm amidst the chaos of Centro Historico. Put on some Spanish guitar music and pretend you’re living in a different time :)

A unique boutique hotel. The rooms have been crafted with a mix of local references and Shaker style. Our room was quiet, cool and peaceful. We enjoyed the rooftop barrell jacuzzi with views of the historic part of CDMX. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you to the helpful staff that made our stay extra special.

I had an amazing stay at Circulo in CDMX. The welcome cocktail was much appreciated and I enjoyed not having to leave the building for a bite to eat (go to Itacate del Mar) and to to peruse some shops. The roofdeck was spectacular at sunset as well as for complementary breakfast. My room was very comfortable on the 2nd floor with a nice entryway. I loved the small-feel of this welcoming hotel in a big city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
